After a six year tour of duty with the US Navy, he relocated to New Orleans, LA where he performed in various venues headlined by Aaron Neville, Frogman Henry, Ernie K-Doe, Lloyd Price, Irma Thomas, and Frankie Ford. Returning to his native New York in 1990, he joined several Doo-Wop style groups, and in 2001 performed on stage with Larry Chance at the Nevele Hotel in Ellenville, NY. Sparky Poore
Bill "Sparky" Poore has been playing drums to and singing those good old songs since his early days on the street corner in Philly, to his later days locally with The Magic Moments and the Classix. The most important thing to Sparky is to entertain the audience by paying homage to the good old days of yesteryear...and that means performing the songs that the audience remembers, and can dance and sing along to.
